Advisor Annual Notification Delivery Options

Every year, Mutual Advisors, LLC (“Mutual”) is required to provide investor clients with an annual notification that identifies whether or not any material changes have been made in the last 12 months to our ADV Part 2 (A or Appendix 1) or our Privacy Policy. If material changes have been made to the ADV, a summary of the material changes is provided along with a letter inviting them to request a full copy of the ADV if they choose. If there are material changes to the Privacy Policy, an updated copy of the Privacy Policy will be included with the letter (and the ADV summary of changes, if applicable).

Mutual sends the annual notification to investor clients. Investor clients initially define their delivery preference (physical mail or electronic email (“email”)) on the Client Profile. (Note: The default option is email). They may make changes to their preferences by request through their advisor, or directly with the Compliance team. If an investor wants to make changes from mail to email, they need to make the request in writing (an email is sufficient) to their advisor or Compliance so that the request can be maintained in the client file. If an advisor receives such a request, they should forward it to Compliance so their household delivery preferences can be properly updated.

Advisors are able to choose whether all of their clients receive a generic annual notification or branded annual notification. This selection can be made once to be applied to all clients set to receive their notification by mail, and once to be applied to all clients set to receive their notification by email. Advisors make this selection each year. If no choice is made, the advisor’s notifications default to the generic (free) option. Below outlines the costs associated with the branded delivery options. Advisors that choose one or both of the branded delivery options will see the applicable charges in their expenses on their April Period 1 payout.

1.   Generic Branding (FREE)*: Email notification will be sent under the Mutual Advisors, LLC logo/branding.
2.   Custom Branding ($100): Email notification will be sent under the custom brand/logo used by the advisor.

*This is the default selection that will be used unless an advisor requests otherwise.
