American Funds F2 Online Registration (DST Vision)

Overview

American Funds F2 Shares accounts can be viewed via DST Vision.  This article details how to register yourself for access.

Prerequisites

If you do not currently have any pieces of business with American Funds you will need to first contact American Funds in order for them to set up a profile and assign a branch and rep number to you.  If you do have existing business with American Funds but do not remember your branch # and/or rep code, you can also contact American Funds to request this.  The direct number related to F2 Shares is 1-800-421-5450.

Registration Steps

1.  Armed with your American Funds branch number and rep number you can now go to DST Vision to start the online registration process.  Start by going to https://www.dstvision.com/ and you should see a starting page like below. 



2.  Click on New User




3.  This will open up a pop up window.  The left side will show your progress through the enrollment process.  For the Service Level Selection select Representative Level, then click Continue.




4.  Now, in the Broker-Dealer Selection screen you can either start typing "Registered Investment Advisor" or you can scroll through the list until you come to that option.  Select it, then click on Continue.




5.  Next we have the Profile Information section.  Here, the two most important pieces of information are your Branch # and Rep #.  When completed, click Continue.




6.  The following screen is a continuation of Profile Information containing business related questions.  Click Continue when done.




7.  The next screen is the Security ProfileEnter your mother's maiden name and your mobile number or e-mail address that you would like to receive security codes at.  Select Send Code.  




You will then be prompted to enter your code.  Retrieve your code from the delivery method you specified, enter it in the field then click Verify Code.




After the verification has completed, click Continue.




8.  Now you will create your Vision ID and Password.  When done, click Continue.




9.  On the next screens, depending on how you answered the business related questions in the profile section, you will be asked to provide a sample account number.  For our example here, we would select American Funds from the left side, and then enter a sample client account number in the One Client's Account # column.  When done, click Continue.




10.  The next screen is the Verification step.  Review the answers on the screen.  If everything looks correct, click on the checkbox to attest that the information is correct, then click Submit.




11.  Finally, you will see confirmation of your submission.  As indicated, you will be able to log into Vision, but DST will need to verify information with the product companies prior to them feeding into Vision.
