DocuSign : Fidelity Sub-Account

DocuSign : Fidelity Sub-Account

Overview:

The Fidelity Sub-Account in DocuSign is used for Fidelity paperwork. Fidelity must be added as the last recipient in the DocuSign envelope with the Joint Agreement added to each document Fidelity needs to receive for processing.  Clients must have either KBA or SMS enabled when signing
Recently, Fidelity has been making changes to the list of forms that are eligible/ineligible to be sent through our DIY DocuSign system. If you are unsure if a form is eligible/ineligible, please check with Fidelity or the Advisory Services team before sending.

Clients who sign paperwork in this sub-account must be verified with Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) or SMS Authentication (text message). An Advisor can include Mutual Paperwork with the Fidelity documents. Each Fidelity document requires the use of Fidelity's new Joint Agreement with Document Access added.

Important Notes: Advisory Services will automatically receive a copy of all paperwork submitted through this sub-account. If a client fails the KBA process, all you need to do is resend the envelope to the client and a new series of questions will be generated.

Steps:

1. Click your initials/profile photo at the top right corner and select "Switch Account"

2. Select the account titled "Mutual Advisors LLC - Fidelity Sub Account"

3. To verify if you are in the correct sub-account, you will see "Wealthscape" at the top right corner next to your initials/profile photo

4. Once the envelope is created, use the fields below to add recipients. Make sure to add the Joint Agreement to the document by following the below steps:
o Please note that document access needs to be set for each document needing to be sent to Fidelity for processing.

(reminder: Advisory Services will automatically receive a copy of all paperwork submitted through this sub-account)
  1. Click the 3-dots on the document under the "Add Documents" section
  2. Click "Set Document Access"
  3. In the Set Document Access settings, you will click the drop-down box and choose Fidelity Investments.
  4. Click Done.
  5. Repeat this process for each document to be sent to Fidelity.
If the Document Access is not added, it is very likely that Fidelity will NIGO if you submit through Document Submission. This step is very important to prevent issues with processing.
